History.
Advocate Insurance Service was started in October of 1991 when Garth Weme took a job as an independent contractor with Mutual of Omaha in Bellingham, Wa. Feel free to visit us at our new office on the corner of Alder and Short to meet our staff and familiarize yourself with our services.

Garth Weme, owner and founder of Advocate Insurance, became licensed for Property and Casualty (homes and autos, buildings and liability) as well as Life and Health, and passed his securities 6 and 63 licensing.

Wendy moved to Sandpoint from Southern Tennessee 10 years ago. Sandpoint is a lot like her home town, small, quaint and absolutely beautiful. Wendy married Darrel Moore in 2003. Darrel and Wendy have 3 beautiful daughters, ages 21, 22, and 25. Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, boating in the summer, and traveling. Wendy has been in the insurance industry for 10 years, a licensed agent for 7, specializing in Commercial Insurance. Wendy prides herself on the personal relationship she shares with her clients. Wendy's clients appreciate the honesty and integrity displayed to them on a day to day basis.

Bethany Campbell is a licensed agent in our personal lines department. Bethany comes from the mortgage industry where she worked in escrow for three years. Previously she worked in a book and office supply store for seven years. Bethany is a 5th generation Sandpoint native with many ties to the local area. A Sandpoint High School graduate involved in her children's football, baseball, volleyball and soccer activities. Bethany enjoys building relationships with people while creating sound insurance plans to protect their personal assets and reducing their costs.

Advocate Insurance Service, Inc. is very proud to announce the addition of Douglas Lynch to our office. Douglas Lynch’s business philosophy is simple: he wants to protect families throughout the Pacific Northwest and help them reach their financial goals while earning their trust.
While Douglas’ specialty is in personal lines insurance which included: Life & Health insurance, Property & Casualty insurance as well as long term care disability protection. He also carries a Series 6 & 63 securities license.
